Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t see any available licenses
This usually means one of the following:
- Your account doesn’t own a WAX license.
- All of your activations are currently in use.
- You’re logged into a different account than the one used to purchase WAX.
Verify you’re signed into the correct account and that an activation is available.
How many computers can I activate?
The number of simultaneous activations depends on your license type.
You can view your available activations from the Activations page after signing in.
I replaced my computer
If you’ve moved to a new computer and have no activations remaining, deactivate WAX from one of your existing devices or manage your activations from your account if available.
Can I use WAX without activating it?
Yes.
WAX includes a free mode that lets you load websites and use standard browser functionality inside your DAW.
Professional features—including Session Recall and other advanced workflow tools—require an activated license.
I activated WAX but my project still says the session can’t be restored
If the project was opened before WAX was activated, reload the DAW project after activation.
WAX restores embedded sessions during project loading. Once reopened, your saved session should be restored automatically.
I accidentally saved my project before restoring my session
If the project was saved after WAX opened without restoring the embedded session, the original saved session may have been overwritten.
To maximize the chance of recovery, avoid saving the project until you’ve successfully activated WAX and reopened it.
I’m offline
An internet connection is required during activation.
After WAX has been activated, it can continue operating according to your license terms. If activation fails, reconnect to the internet and try again.
